1 Bump

What can I do? I broke the knob off my wall air conditioner unit.

But I was just looking up newer models and they are like $400-$600. I broke the knob and the thing on the inside of the knob that connects directly to the unit itself so I can't turn it on at all not even with a screw driver. The knob is now flush with the rest of the unit.

And the unit I have now measures @ 24.5" w by 19" high and the other ones fit the 24.5" but not the 19" they are all shorter. We live in so cal and today was over 100 degree's already. I get real sick when I get overheated and my house easily gets over 100 degrees before noon in the summer. It already was today.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated

  • This has to suck. I have had that happen before and it was no fun! Especially considering the heat and humidity we have here in Louisiana! GL!

  • I'd look up the manufacturer or the model number for the unit and see if you can order a new one.
