Do you have piercings? why or why not? anon told me "nose piercings aren't for moms" lol

i didn't know being a mom came with a required uniform.

so do you have piercings? why or why not? and if not, is it because youre a Mom? do you think Moms shouldn't have piercings or tattoos?

if I took my nose piercing out because society believes Moms should look a certain way, what am I teaching my children about self expression, and diversity?

  • Yes ma'am, I do. I also have tattoos. I am going to be 42 this year! I got my nose pierced (with a hoop, no less) 2 years ago for Mothers Day. I had always wanted a nose ring but in my profession it was frowned upon. Now that I am a SAHM I can do what I want. I've always had tattoos because they represent different stages of my life. I have 5 thus far (and only one of them is small) and am by no means done. I will say that I get looks from others mothers and sometimes they do look down on me for it. But, as far as I'm concerned, I could give a damn what they think. Is there a stigma? You bet. Do I care? No I do not. Pierce away, tattoo away - do what you want to do to express yourself.

  • I have my belly button peirced and plan on keeping it all the way through my pregnancy. Then once my baby is born im getting a tattoo. I did have my lip pierced but recently took it out because it looked trashy while being prego.

  • I only have my ears pierced now, but I used to have my belly button, my nose, and my ehm nipples pierced, lol. I took my nose ring out because it wouldn't heal, my belly button piercing came out with my first daughter (never put it back in) and I took my nipple piercings out when breastfeeding and never put them back in. I see nothing wrong with piercings. Just because you're a mom does not mean you cannot express yourself nor does it have any effect on how you parent.

  • I have my ears pierced...only because my mother did it to me when I was like 2 or something. I have tats, because I like them.

I personally am not a fan of the nose rings, but that's me. Some people can pull them off, some can't. Being a mom (or not) shouldn't determine if you should or shouldn't have one.

  • I don't have any piercings or tattoos. It's not because I'm a mom, it's just my preference. I've seen tattoos and piercings on others that look awesome! It's just not for me :)

  • I have piercings & tats, Simple reason why is because i wanted them. I dont believe moms should wear mom jeans or pajama pants out or drive a mini van!!!! :) ( not really i could care less i was just being snide LOL)

  • I have my tounge pierced and I have tattoos. I did have my nose pierced, but it came out when I was sleeping one night :( That was my favorite, I think they can look tasteful if done right.
