I would like to cook meatloaf for dinner tonight and well its going to sound funny but everytime i made it before it was a disaster and my 3 year asked for it .. so tonight im going to attempt it.. anyone have a good meatloaf recipe???

  • whew...i was afraid this was gonna be like the 'roast beef' question.

    the barefoot contessa has a great recipe, using breadcrumbs..which i'd never used in a meatloaf (don't cook it too often), but it turned out great. i'll see if i can find it.

  • Soak 1 slice of torn bread with 1/2 cup of milk, chopped onions (if you like), add ground beef and 2 eggs beaten. In separate bowl mix 1/4 cup of ketchup, 1tbls. of mustard, 3tbls. of brown sugar and 1/4 tsp. of nutmeg. Mix well and add to ground beef mixture. Mix well and place in meatloaf pan, bake @375 for 45 mins or until done.

  • ! 1/2 lb ground beef- I use 80/20
    1 egg
    chopped onion
    worchetershire sauce
    Mix all together, form into a loaf, put in baking pan, mix ketchup, mustard and brown sugar and brush on the top of meat loaf. Bake 350 for 1 hour

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 can Ro*tel 1 egg Mix bread crumbs, Ro*tel and egg in bottom of bowl. Let sit until crumbs absorb the liquid. Crumble ground beef over and toss lightly with hands. Form into a loaf or round, bake at 375 for one hour Top with mix of chili sauce, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce. Spread over top the last 15 minutes of cooking time.

  • You MUST use fresh tomatoes in your recipe (whichever you choose), it makes all the difference!
