How can I cheer up hubby?

He's having a bad day. Started out with me accidently backing into his truck (no real damage was caused) and now he's taking an exam that he doesn't even have notes for. I need some tips on how to cheer him up.

  • Have his fav dinner ready, hot and on the table for when he gets home. Or even a "just because" small gift or a thinking of you card.

  • Apologize again for the truck, maybe make him his fave meal or go out for dinner, let him know things will be ok and later some sex! ;)

  • Just be with him. Sometimes that is all a guy needs.

  • Ask him if there's anything you can do to make him feel better, or ask What could you do???

  • Some exams are closed book, no notes. Some are open book, notes allowed. Why wouldn't he have notes? He may not even be allowed to use them during the exam - at least in proctored exams for college. Cheering up a spouse should involve behaviors or deeds that you know make him smile or improve his mood. I'd ask him what would make him feel better.

  • Some good answers here - the sex, the dinner, asking him what you can do to help. Let me add another; any positive words of affirmation you can think of that he needs to hear right now. Hope this help!
