  • Neither my mom or mil. I trust my instincts and pray that I am making the best decision.

  • I turn to my Mom. I swear my inlaws are all insane so I never ask for advice while I get it all the time and always do the opposite of their suggestions.

  • I don't anymore. I took parenting classes and learned some very important techniques. If I have trouble remembering, I look at the book "The Incredible Years". Remember that any advice that involves spanking or locking your kid in a closet may not be healthy advice! Remember to pick your battles, ignore whining and tantrums, give praise for whatever they do that is helpful, pleasing etc, give simple commands and use timeouts when absolutely necessary (violence).

  • Whoever I'm talking to. My mama, MIL, or sister if I have a serious "need an answer now" question. If it is general ideas or tips, I will listen and take or leave whatever advice my grandparents, mom, dad, friends, cousins, etc. have for me.

  • I talk to my mom and MIL. They both have extremely different parenting styles, so I can get two different views, and make a decision for myself.
