MMR Vaccine question

Bobby is 16 months and he had his MMR Vac. a little less than 2 weeks ago. This boy is covered in a rash! He is happy as a clam and playing like his usual happy self. We called the Dr and they said it is a non contagious measels rash and to not worry. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if so, how long did the rash last?

  • It didn't happen to my child, but I've seen it happen to other kids when I was a nurse in a ped office. It's not unusual. And they gave you the correct info. It's harmless and will go away.

  • But sorry, I don't remember how long it lasts. It was a long time ago.

  • Most of those vaccines can cause mild illnesses like that. It's never happened to anyone I know, except for with the chicken pox vaccine, so I'm sorry, I don't have more info for you.

  • I'd make a report to VAERS. Vacciene Adverse Event Reporting System.
