How many calories should a breastfeeding mom consume daily?

I'm starting my workout soon. Just to get rid of some belly fat and extra thighs but I was wondering about calories. I've never been a calorie counter but I heard that was important.

  • About 300 more than your pre-pregnancy consumption. So that's like 1/2 a hamburger more than you'd normally eat.

  • Just eat healthy foods and go by your appetite. 300 extra is a good rule of thumb, but working out makes you hungrier.
