  • like for health reasons? my son is dangerously allergic to tomatoes in all forms so we only eat pizza, spaghetti, etc at restaurants or on child free date nights

We are NOT picky eaters. I do not allow splenda, sucrolose, aspertame, etc in my home. HFCS is a rarity but artificial sweetners are a no no never

  • I have a great app on my iPhone called Fooducate. It helps me to choose healthier foods for my family.

  • I avoid pork, traumatic childhood event, but I don't make DH not eat it. DH usually avoids most vegetables but I have gotten him to try and actually like broccoli among a few others.

When my family is around we avoid, tomatoes, grapes, potatoes, and anything with MSG/artificial sweeteners due to allergies. Oh and now seafood.

  • I love Fooducate!! I am always scanning things. Aside from that, I try to avoid any type of helpers, ramen, manwich, stove top or boxed potatoes.

  • Excess salt or sugar, "instant" foods, meals-in-a-box...so no helpers, no canned veggies, things along those lines. I stick with as many whole foods as possible. Not to say I'm perfect - we eat our share of cold cereals (not the sugar-laden ones though), we eat boxed mac & cheese on occasion, but I avoid the really bad stuff as much as possible. And anything with red #40 dye.

  • Not really. We just try to eat healthy for the most part and not buy crap food. We don't always eat perfect but normally pretty good.
