Have you bought watermelon yet this year??

if yes was it good? pricey? and what area of country are u in?

minnesota has 'em for sale but I know they taste terrible til june or so

  • Not yet... they're all puny, and I'm not spending $4 on a tiny watermelon the size of a large cantaloupe! I'm in the southeast, btw.

  • i have not. i love water melon but i always choose the ones that are not sweet and tastes like water so i give up. lol
    i remember last summer i bought a $ 30 large water melon to bring to a bbq and lo and behold it tasted like water, wasn't even a lil bit sweet..that was the last straw.

  • I just bought one today.It was the seedless smaller kind and it was good,my kids and I ate it right up.In Ga.

  • not yet, I'm in Alabama and we actually have a watermelon field right up the road from me. They aren't quite ripe yet but once they are we'll have tons of them.

  • No because they're outrageously expensive and the ones they sell pre-cut look awful.
