Will this kill us?

I stuck some chicken in the microwave just to thaw it a bit. Unknow to me a kid changed the setting and it stayed in too long.

It looks like it cooked all the way though. Is it ok to eat it? Is it safe? Should I stick it in the oven for 5 minutes? Is it safe?

I was gonna stick it in a veggie stirfry.

  • If you cook it til the juices are clear, not pink, it's safe. I think microwave cooking makes meat a little rubbery, but there's nothing unsafe about using it.

  • i wouls stick it in the oven until the chicken is to the temp it should be just to be safe.

  • I would just cook it long enough to make sure its cooked all the way through, but it shouldn't take long...

  • As long as it's not pink, it will be fine. I don't like chicken in the microwave because it gets rubbery.
