How long does it take for a misdemeanor to come off your record? Do you have to do anything special to get it off?

  • Juvenile records are sealed or can be expunged at 18. Records after 18 are there always unless proven unfounded and a court orders them expunged.

  • And where you live. My driving record is clean and before I turned 21 I had about 10 violations lol. Im now going on 26 and theres nothing there anymore.

  • As others have pointed out it depends on what you did, how old you were when you did it and where you did it. Also the court ruling may play into it as well.
