When does the dr start xhecking to see if you are dialated?

I have 2 kids 6 and 3, but I can't remember at how many weeks they start checking that?

  • I think mine was 35-36 weeks.

  • It varies from practice to practice. A lot of them don't bother until you are in active labor. Ask at your next appt when/if they start checking for dilation.

  • 36 weeks unless you have cramping, contractions, or spotting. They also may do it if you have a history of preterm births or preterm labor.
