  • Mine was born at 28 weeks gestation. Weighed 2 lbs. 2 oz., 14 inches long. You would never guess she went through what she did if you saw her now!

  • My daughter was born at 35 weeks. She weighed 5 lb., 4 oz. and was 18 in. long. She was in the NICU for 12 days, stayed small her entire life, is now 24, married 4 years, and has 2 little ones of her own, she is happy, healthy, and so are her kiddoes! :-)

  • Tess was due Dec 25th, was born Nov 9th at 33 weeks.
She weighed 2 lbs 15 oz and was 16" long.

She spent 28 days in the NICU fattening up. We had no complications besides the typical light jaundice and anemia.

She's now a bright energetic 3.5 yo. Still small at 37", but she didn't hit the unadjusted growth chart until she was 2.

  • Twin boys born at 35 weeks though one weighed 6 lb 14oz and the other weighed 7lb 12 oz. Other than minor breathing and feeding issues, you would have thought they were full term babies. They're both normal weight and heights now at 10 months.

  • My twins were due April 4, 2006...born February 14, 2006-33 weeks 0 days. Baby #1 was 3 lbs 14 oz and 16 inches long. Baby #2 was 3lbs 9oz and 16 inches long. Today they are happy, healthy 5 year olds who you would never believe they were preemies by looking at them!!

  • I don't have any that were preemie but I was one.. I was born 11-24-1975 & was supposed to be born the end of January.. when I was born I wasn't breathing. had phamonia,( k don't know how to spell it) & was jaundice.. I was born 4.5 lbs & stay in the hospital almost one month. once I got home I was pretty normal besides sounding like a sheep.. PS I was very skinny until after my second child..

  • She was induced 1 wk early. 5.14lb. (so not too preemie. just on the very small side)
She is now almost 5 & is happy/normal/healthy. and after a lil weight adjustment was always in the 90+% on growth chart & she was a bf baby.

  • Due Date: 8-28-2009
    Born: 5-16-09
    1 lb 10 oz
    24 wks 6 days gestation

My son just turned 2 and he has no problems, as of yet, at least. I know, with having a preemie, that all can change fairly quickly!
