I am a regualr member who has been here for years...

I misspell-mistype things all the time but no longer get bashed for it. Does having a SN you recognize change anything as far as the spelling/grammar perfectionist go? Or am I just lucky!

  • idk; there are new members (like me!) who don't "know" everyone just yet. I'm probably correcting the hell out of you in my mind, but I won't call anybody out on the boards unless they're being dicks to someone else about grammer & spelling, when they're guilty of same.

  • Unless you are an English Lit. Professor reading an essay or an article, criticizing others on a social site is just redundant cause everyone makes mistakes.

  • I guess it depends on whether the person bashing your spelling/grammar agrees with your answer.

  • I just overlook misspelled words and typos. I learned how to type and work as a secretary, so I figure not everyone types and has to spell things like I do everyday.

  • I never correct others, b/c I too make the occasional slip up or typo. That's just small stuff- I just focus on the question & try to help if I can. :)

  • I don't mind some misspellings, it's the "gud" "pregnut" and obvious ones that get annoying. I don't correct them though but sometimes you can't understand what the heck people are saying.

  • I got it today... gotta love the grammar police, some people on here are superhuman and make no mistakes you know.
