My son is potty training... every time he is done and i tell him to leave the bathroom he screams and crys that he still needs to potty... this goes on for hours after he uses the bathroom how do i make him understand that he does not need to potty

  • Patience and telling him "You did potty! You did a great job, you're all done. There is nothing left for you to put in the potty." Then try coaxing him out with another activity.

  • So, let him sit there till he gets bored. I would think that would get old pretty quick.

  • tell him he needs to put the toilet seat down when he's done and he gets to flush the toilet. then let him wash his hands.. let him do this "by himself" and let him know that he gets a sticker for going to the potty. Sometimes kids like to have independence and the recognition for doing a good job.
