Would you allow your husband to teach your 4 yr old to flip people off

A woman I know thinks it is cute that her husband has taught their 4 yr old to give people the finger. When there is company he runs up to people and flips them off and the parents laugh. Now our local school is Pre_K through 12th grades. This kid is in the Pre_K program and that room is right by my son's kindergarten. I also have a 12th grade daughter and the high school side of the school is by the lunch room. Well she tells me that when the Pre_K kids go to lunch this little 4 yr old is flipping off the high school kids!
Somehow though the family thinks this is just funny and cute.

  • A prime example of the fact that just because you can create a child doesn't mean you're emotionally stable enough to raise one.

  • I would be less then thrilled if my husband showed our ds to do this.

  • That would not happen. That's not something I'd want my child to do.

  • NO! Because they often have no self control. I'd be scared they'd do it to grandma or something

  • I have a 6 yr old boy and if my husband thought it was cute to teach our son that He would be in for a rude awakening and Thank God he is mature enough to know how our boy should act and not act

  • Nope not OK. I can see many problems with school down the road when their child is flipping off school officials.

  • I don't suppose I could stop him if he really got it into his head to do it, but I don't feel I'd particularly be pleased with him. I see no productive reason to teach such a gesture to a child.
