When i filled up my lawn mower this weekend it cost $12.

That's how much it cost me to fill up my car the year i graduated from high school.

  • About 10 years ago gas here was less than $1 a gallon. Now we celebrate when it's less than $4 a gallon. Nothing else that I can think of has quadrupled in price in the last decade.

  • Just got home from the grocery store with DH, which meant a lot of looking at prices and saying are you f'ing kidding me, no we're not getting that...

    Pringles $1.62 can - what milk used to be for a gallon when we moved here.
    candy bars 99 cents, and I remember those being a quarter as a kid, complaining when they went up to 30 so you couldn't get an even amt with a dollar anymore

  • I paid $80 to fill up my tank, and when I graduated, it would have bought me 6 tanks of gas when I first started driving.
