Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I gotta know (twi-hards)

Ok so, in the books the vampire females can't have babies because their bodies are frozen forever yada yada, so... why arent the men's bodies frozen also? How is Edward able to produce sperm to get Bella preggers?

  • cassie_kellison - Oh geez LOL I know I posted it in Fans of Stephenie Meyer when she gave it but obviously that was quite a while ago.  I THINK I read it on the Lexicon.  I'll poke around a  bit later when I have time and see if I can find it.

  • He impregnated her with the only fluid he has in his body, venom. Stephenie Meyer said that in an interview. Their venom takes the place of necessary body fluids.

  • I thought the same thing, but I guess if he had sperm when he turned then the sperm wouldn't change either, so they were still potent?...

  • it's kind of like real life....a women can only have babies for a certain amount of time but men can father children till the day they die. So once a woman is a vampire she's done with the baby making but the men can still produce sperm.
