In what way is your parenting style the same as your mother's? In what way is it different?

  • The same: I was ALWAYS the parent and I was not worried about my child "liking" me
    Different: I was very protective and always knew what, when, where and why and I gave lots of hugs and kisses and "I love you's"

    Different: i don't drink around my kids, call them outta of their names, and I take them places and spend time with them.

  • My mom and I are similar in that we have a whimsical sense of humor that seasons common sense. We are different in that she was very punitive and harsh in her discipline when she did discipline. I am not like.
