  • Because we allowed them to acquire nukes during the Cold War as an offset to India's nuclear program. Just like we are allowing Iran to acquire nukes to keep up with Israel. You can see where this gets us but the alternative is, hands off diplomacy, that would or could be filled by China or Russia, pick your poison. China, for instance, is primed to get out technology from the helo that was destroyed during the Bin Laden op. That is how they reverse-engineer their weaponry and products.
