Treat, Kids, Dinner

Do you let you kids have a treat or snack what ever after dinner? Did you get to when you were a kid?

  • Yes I give my son a snack after dinner, I always had a dessert after dinner when I was little

  • My son gets a snack every day before bed... but also we do it because he is on ADHD meds that give him trouble eating during the day. i sometimes got a snack when i was a kid after dinner, but not a routine.

  • I am like But mommie, If they eat their dinner they might bet one. I do not want my kids to expect a snack just cause they ate like they were suppose to.

  • Crackers, popcorn or fruit. When i was little I used to get a slice of cheese or peanut butter toast before bed

  • My step son "expects" dessert after dinner. He doesnt always get it. But eating in our house is SOOOOO much different than eating in his house with his Mom. We eat FOOD food.... they eat mostly packaged food. Not that there is anything wrong with that from time to time.
    We wait an hour so so for any dessert.

    And eating when I was a child is totally different. We ate what was made or we didnt eat..... OR we sat there and ate it even if it was an hour later and it was cold.
