How long...?

Okay, so I post TONS of questions on here, but this one is interesting...

On Sunday, I had some VERY light spotting. I didn't notice it until I was in my bathroom with the lights on (usually I don't, cause I know what I'm doing). It was just a small area in my underwear that was red/brown.

Anyways, how long should I wait after this to take a test? The internet gives me SO many different answers...

  • I feel you should wait and see if your mentrual cycle comes on in a week or a few days if missed then you need to take a test. Trust me everytime I had spotting I found out a few wks later that Im preganent. It could also be fertilization/implantation when your body releases an egg it may cause a little spotting

  • Yeah I understand. Take a test in like two weeks to see if you've started your period
