Can you go to jail for driving without insurance?

  • I have no idea but in Ohio, you can but it is not likely. Again, here you will lose your license for like 90 days which I think is a joke. If you are okay with driving without insurance what makes them think you won't still drive when they take your license away? I work hard to pay for my insurance and people that don't carry it really make me angry. In my opinion if you can't get insurance, then ride the bus!

  • you should! i hate when people think they don't have to have insurance. imo if you can't afford insurance you can't afford to drive.

  • No, but in some states when caught or ticketed with no insurance, there are additional fees
    for several yrs to follow thru the secretary of states which can be extremely costly...
