What color coordinates with a pistachio ice cream color?

I just painted my living room in the pistachio color but now my couch (which I do need a new one) and my rug just does not go with it. I have hardwood floors. I have a country/antique look in that room. The colors suggested with the paint were light blues, white, and gray. I have a white trim in the room. I really don't want a sofa in any of these..any suggestions?

  • I'd think a deep brown would look really pretty, like a leather couch

  • Plums, Browns, Greys, keep it neutral, and warm to offset the color. Keep any wood items you bring in dark.

  • I think everybody is so spot on. My first thought would be chocolate brown . .. but any in that tan-brown spectrum would be fantastic.

Use the other colors for accents.
