What bottles should I use?

I am 26 weeks pregnant with our second child. I am not breastfeeding for several reasons, and even though I know the benefits, there are other things that are taking precedence. So, that being cleared up, I used vent aire bottles with my son. They worked well, but I need to replace a few bottles, and I'm wondering if I should get more vent-aire bottles, or try something different?

  • I wouldn't bother getting ANY more bottles for now... wait till baby arrives, see what works.

  • We use Playtex Vent Aire Advance. I had in my mind while I was pregnant that I would use the Soothie bottles. Well my son would gulp, so the Playtex bottles helped a lot with that. Needless to say, I still have 6-7 brand new Soothie bottles around here still in packages. Good luck! :)

  • If what you have works, then stick with it. Personally, I recommend the Dr. Browns bottles--they worked very well with our DD.

  • Don't mess with what works. Though you should know the new baby may have completely different ideas.

  • gdiamante- thats why i'm wondering if i should get a small amount of a different type of bottle? DS1 is 20 months now, he hasnt been on a bottle since 12 months.

  • I hated the vent aire but that was my experience with them. If the work for you then keep the ones you have but consider buying a couple other types (just one or two) since every baby is different and this one might not take the ventaire. At least this way you have a couple to try already at home.

  • I used diffrent ones with both my girls. What ever bottle was cheap is what I bought since they are so expensive lol. But this time around someone gave me tons of bottles I am planning to use. 2 of them are the soothies I have never used them ones before. about 6 of the bottles are those ones with the bags you insurt I never used those ones either and then about 6 of them are the vent air ones I have used these types with my girls and I thought they were ok.
