Bridal shower gift

Anyone have any ideas for a bridal shower gift for a friend I haven't seen or really talked to in 8 years?

  • if she's moving what about putting together something about the new area she's moving to ? .......like a list of stores, sites to see, maps, heck see if you can get a phone book from the area and maybe a gift card from resturants.com for a dinner in her new area....

  • Cookbook, recipe cards, dish towels, photo albums, smelly girly stuff, candles, .... those sorts of things.
All can be done cheaply enough, yet still shows you care

  • You can never go wrong with a gift certificate or Bath and Body Works.

  • Of course I'm invited LOL! Exactly, why would I buy a gift for someone I haven't seen/talked to in 8 years!? We were close friends several years ago just grew apart. I'm actually really touched to be invited to her shower & wedding.

  • Only reason I don't want to do a gift card, is because I plan on doing a gift card for the actual wedding present since they are moving out of state afterwards and probably aren't going to want to haul a bunch of stuff. Figured it would be easier to give them a gift card to the store they are registered at so then can shop once they're all settled in. I wanted to do something cute/fun for the bridal shower but I'm so not the creative type lol.

  • I recently attended a wedding shower and I put together a little basket with different kitchen items and found a little Bride and Groom couple, along with a card. I put a bow around it and had a nice gift for the couple.
