  • I use a vinegar and black pepper mix diluted with water in a spray bottle so I won't use harsh chemicals around the kids. always throw out the trash, sweep/ vacuum/ mop the floors and keep the counters clean and dishes washed dried and put up. I barely awake because I have to do ths everyday because we have sap trees surrounding our house. Its tough to keep those things out but the solution works.

  • We got ant bait/poison that worked brilliantly. Of course, it came from my friend who works in pest control so I'm not sure what it's called. The bait has a sugar mixture and a protein mixture because ants switch their eating. This stuff worked so well. You'd see the ants streaming to it...disgusting!...and then no more. The ants bring the poison to the nest and kill the queen.

  • lock the doors and windows. lol!

we usually do seasonal spraying for a variety of insects. it keeps most things out, and we've never had a problem with ants.
