What do you think about this saying?

Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment. Agree or disagree?

  • I like this saying. But what would be a wrong saying? For instance here on cafemom there are many women who need advice. But when true advice from the heart is given, they can't take it and see it as bashing. So just curious how you define the wrong part.

  • I think any advice from love is fine even if it hurts. If you know someone is trying to help you. Imo wrong is something that is said to make someone look like a fool or to make yourself look superior to them. Also to lash out because someone offended you, basically a pay back. I can handle any comment if i feel its coming from real concern for me.
