  • Brayburns if we buy from the store, but the best are from the unnamed tree in Grandma's yard--tart and yummy on a good year.

  • EWWWWW! SeasideNative. 1/2 of the Red Delicious (Washington red apples) I eat are mush!

I like Fugi's which are a cross between a red delicious and old Virginia Ralls Genet. My husband likes Braeburns. I like granny smiths for homemade applesauce. My kids will eat any of them.

  • Oldest DD prefers red delicious but will eat anything if she wants an apple and I don't have her kind. DH prefers golden delicious but will also eat others. My other kids will eat pretty much anything. I'll eat most of them, gala is one of my favorites. Granny smith are the only variety no one in our family will eat plain.

  • Fiji apples. I do like Granny Smith ones sometimes when I'm in the mood for something tart.
