Sleep With Angels?

If someone says "sleep with angels" does that not freak you out? Even just a little bit? Cuz it does me. If I'm sleeping with angels I ought to be dead, no? I have a few friends that say this as a "good night" and I dunno why it bugs me but it really does.

  • It's a very common expression in Spanish....like Sweet Dreams. No, it doesn't freak me out. I think it's sweet. If I'm sleeping........I'm clearly not dead.

  • Same with the idea that angels can see us at all times. Ewww, even when I'm having sex? Really?

  • angels were never human in the first place. The idea is someone watching over you and being safe in their arms.

  • I just think of angels as being in heaven and the only reason someone would be with angels is if they were dead - like my cousins are always telling their kids "Grandpa's with the angels now".

  • Funny, but today I was browsing through books on angels on Amazon, and I came across a book by that title. I have to admit that my first thought was "huh?" But then I realized it meant something else. Maybe I just read too many paranormal romances though. =)

  • Are you thinking of an incubus, Shan? That would be the male equivalent of a succubus.
