Approximately how many weeks until baby starts to respond and interact?

  • Baby was responding to sounds and sights about 2 weeks--startled easily, stared at lights, turned head at sounds.

    He's now 4 weeks and just starting to make better connections--more eye contact, grabbing my fingers and hair, cooing in response, etc.

    Not sure if this is standard, but it's what he does!

  • type in "Baby milestones" in google, and it'll pull up all kinds of websites that will tell you approximate times your baby will start to do new things

  • i dont think babies are fun or give anything "back to you" untill they are like 3 months

  • my son started looking for me or my husband when he heard our voices when he was justabout a week old. and he's been smiling at us since about five or six weeks :)
