  • LOL I'm afraid not though...our planet's "real" name is Terra, isn't if earthquakes on mars were marsquakes, they would be terraquakes here ;)

  • Asking what is the Earth's real name is like asking which one of the gods people worshipped throughout history is real.

    Names are a man-made concept. Different cultures had different names for our planet. The Aztec called it Tonantzin; the Incas called it Pachamama; The Chinese called it Hou Tu; the Greeks called it Gaia; the Hindus it is called Bhuma Devi; the Romans called it Terra; the Norse called it Jord.

    Take a pick at which one of them you consider the "real" name. *chuckles*
