How to wean my 1 year old

my daughter turned one on the 7th and I am ready to stop breastfeeding. Any advice on weaning????

  • I was down to just when I got home from work and bedtime, then just stopped, when she was 19 months. She adjusted pretty well. I think she asked 2x then she was over it.

  • The AAP and the WHO reccomend at least 2 years. But, if you feel the need to quit, drop the least needed feeding a day until done or else you risk engorgement.

  • I know whats recommended, i have been doing it for a year I do actually know a lot about it. I just wanted some ideas on weaning. I would love to do child led weaning but I dont want her so attached to me like she is.
