Do you garden?

If so what all do you plant? We have some tomatoes, watermelon, bell peppers, strawberries, banana peppers, and cucumbers. DS loves to plant stuff so I let him pick what we are going to plant every year.

  • This year, we are planting tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, and lettuce. I want to plant cucumbers and dill to make pickles. DH grew up in Chicago. He never understood why I wanted to grow anything in a garden. This is the 1st year that he finally understood what I have been trying to do all of these years. We have a teenager and 3 other children coming up behind the teenager. They are ALWAYS hungry! I can't keep enough food in the house for them.

  • Yes, but it's still too early here to plant most things. Right now I just have herbs (Greek oregano, Italian flat leaf parsley, chives, dill & a couple of varieties of basil), asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, peas and, as soon as it quits raining, we have seed potatoes all ready to plant. When the weather finally settles & stays warm, we'll also have tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, green beans, kohlrabi, lettuces, radishes, carrots, squash and whatever else we have room for.

  • All of the above and more. I love to garden, and flowers too. I also love to can fruits and veggies and salsa.
