My Daughter is almost 14 months old and is just now starting to take steps and even trying to walk on her own, not holding onto stuff...should I be concerned ... anyone else's 14month olds not yet walking entirely???

  • No worries at all. I work in the nursery at my church and kids start walking at all different ages. Truely, don't worry.

  • Kids do start walking at all different ages. My Son and my oldest and youngest Daughters all walked at about 1 year old. My middle Daughter didnt walk until she was 15 monts old.

  • My oldest started walking at 14 months. Anytime between 9 and 18 months is considered normal.

  • I agree with the others - she's within the normal walking range.

    Is she walking later than other babies you know? Yes. But that's because she has been working on other skills - fine motor skills and mental skills instead of the big motor skills.
