How do you cook fresh aspargus and for how long?

so that it isn't soggy but not too tough either. Thanks

  • you can also broil them in the oven. Cut the ends off add seasoning and cook for about 8-10 minuntes

  • Rub it with EVOO and sprinkle it with Salt and Pepper sauté it in a skillet for a few minutes until bright green. You can do them whole or cut.

  • Steam for about 5 minutes, or boil about 2 minutes.

  • The best way to prepare them is by steam them. I do however put them in boiling wather for about 2min as soon as you take them out of the water place them in a container with cold water this way the color is preserved.

  • Healthy: steam in a micro steamer for a few minutes
    Unhealthy: wrapped in bacon on the grill
    Both are simple and delish!

  • All of the above suggestions sound terrific! One thing, though--be sure to cut off the tough bottom of the stem. It will cook more quickly whatever you do.
