The moles must go

Anyone have any experience getting moles out of the garden. Don't feel the need to kill them so much as to just get them from digging up my lawn. I have a three year old so I would like to have something that isn't chemical or dangerous (ideally)

  • We were told that we had grubs. Get rid of the grubs and the moles will go too. We put something on our lawn that was supposed to get rid of the grubs. It had to be on for 48 hours and no pets no kids on it (so yes, it was a a chemical). It got rid of the grubs for one season but not even completely and the moles were still there. You can go to your local nursery and ask them about a plant that you can put out that will make the moles go away. My sisters says it worked for her but I have not tried it so I don't know if it really works. There is one more thing I heard. Juicy Fruit gum. Put it in the path of the moles. They will eat it, can't digest it and they will die. I know you said you didn't want to kill them but I thought I would tell you any way. Again, I have not tried this one so I can't say if it does or does not work.

  • Aha, found a product called Milky Spore that you put down to get rid of the grubs in the lawn. Its organic and actually gets stronger with time. Its on the pricey side but lasts 15-20 years and is safe. I will probably have to get some sort of poison or trap for the moleys themselves.
