Is it true the baby's heart rate will tell you if you're having a boy or girl? Was it right for you?

  • They say high heart beats means boy, low mean girl right? Or maybe vise versa, but with all 3 of my kids it was the opposite.

  • It's just a myth. It all depends on how active the baby is at the time of your appointment. If baby is moving and being a gymnast in your belly, higher hr, sleeping, lower hr....

  • No just an old wives tale. Mine is a boy and has been in 130's - 140's.

  • i have 3 girls and one son the girls heart rate was like a locomotive my sons was a bit slower so yes the heart rate did work for me

  • I had one with a fast HR and one with a slow HR. Both were boys.

  • I was told girl based on heart rate alone ... it was boy.

  • Its suppost to be but I don't think its ever been tested. Mine were right but I had a friend who thought it was a boy cause of the heartbeat and it turned out to be a girl.
