Am I a terrible mother for looking forward to the day when all three of my kids are in school?

I hate to wish these young years away but I can't help but long for the day when all my kids go to school and I will have 8 whole hours to myself....

I can knock my housework out--uninterrupted--I can take a class, join a gym, have lunch with my girlfriends.

Do any of you ever feel that way?

  • No but why can't you have lunch with a friend or go to the gym with kids? I do it every day .

  • That doesn't make you a terrible mom! I have considered putting my son in 2k next year just to get a break. He needs some interaction with other kids too so that's not the only reason but it's a big reason!

  • you're not a terrible mother... having little ones is hard work! I'm looking forward to a little extra freedom myself. I think every mother feels this way once in a while.
