  • Sorry mommas didn't find this funny at all Im actually shocked that this is even in a second graders vocabulary. In our house we have a rule, ! if you ask a question you will get an answer (age appropriate of course) I'm not sure I would be ready or comfortable to answer my 7 or 8 yr olds question about what are condoms? and what are they used for? It just opens up a line of communication I don't think neither parent or child are ready for.

  • My DD went a week to school with me, and sat through the debate on contraceptive use by married Chrsitian couples (it was a Christianity class); anyway, she's only three, but when she asked what contraceptive was after said class, I told her it was what Mommies and Daddies use to help not make brothers and sisters. I've always said I wasn't going to lie about her life questions, no matter what her age. If she ever found a condom and asked what it was, I'd just tell her "contraceptive" and hope she remembers the answer to her next question LOL
Anyway, the pic was cute and I think prom-goers SHOULD take advice from that little 2nd grader!
