5 Bumps

Husband left at 5 to go fishing, and its 10:30,and still not back!

I'm starting to get worried! Is it normal to be gone this long? He went with a friend. I tried texting, no reply. Wtf :(

  • 5 in the morning or evening? Where did he go fishing? On a boat? Is he a fisherman? Is he a drinker? Does the friend have a wife?

  • seems normal to me - fishing is not usually a few hours here but a few days around here. Call him if you are concerned

  • 5am or 5pm? My SO goes out fishing & yes from 5pm-10pm would be normal however, I can always reach him or he calls me back when he has service. Now SO's brother could go fishing for an entire day from 5am-10pm & heck you may be lucky to get ahold of him on his cellphone while he's out fishing.

Is this unusual for your husband? Can you call his friend? Were they drinking?

  • He went 5 in afternoon. But where he goes is a hike to get to. No answer on phone

  • Do they have cell service? Hope everything is ok. Text him that you are worried something has gone wrong and maybe if he sees it he will respond.

  • I'd say that all is well if he went at 5pm, so they fished a bit late & now have to hike in the dark. I understand your worry but just sit up watch a movie, read a book something to calm your nerves & once he has service he'll give you a call or he'll be home soon. At this point I wouldnt be overly worried, honestly.

  • I'd give it another hour, not sure on your local laws but in most areas it's illegal to fish after dark. If he's not home by then I'd give him a call.

  • Maybe he just forgot his phone in the vehicle or something. If you have his friend's number or could get that number from someone you could try calling the friend's phone too.

  • I hope you are all right. I just get worried a lot, too many law n order episodes
