  • The poor quality of our food (overly processed, void of nutrients, chemically filled), lack of activity (sedentary lifestyle due to a number of factors, including technology), lifestyle (busy, stressed, and constantly eating on-the-go), and a lack of understanding of what "healthy" is (the best example being the food pyramid, which was designed to benefit farmers, not the health of the American people).

  • LOVE THIS QUESTION! i could go on and on but i think the best answer is eating too much, and eating nutrient void foods. the food industry is like every other business. they are about cheap products, high profit, and they don't care about health. shoot, when i have a dinner party i'd rather have my guests compliment me on taste, rather than say, man that's such a nutrient dense meal!

  • All of the above.....eating junk and being less active, having too many chemicals in our food, air, everyday products are all contributors.

  • I think we don't listen to our bodies, we eat even when we are not actually hungry. Then we sit around and don't work off the calories. Processed foods and fast foods are so convenient and we eat way too much of them.
    So, I guess my answer is a combo.
