  • yes, she does. lately she's been napping 2-3 hours... i'm pretty sure she's going through a growthspurt. but i never cut out naps, she'll be starting kindergarten soon so as long as the napping continues to work for her, she can nap until she starts school. in addition to her 1-3 hour naps during the day, she gets about 10 hours of sleep at night.

  • Both my kids slept took naps up until they started 1st grade ... they obviously stopped at that point because they were in school all day but I know they would have continued for a while longer. They were in bed by 8:30 each nite and slept until 7:00 each morning.

  • she didn't until she started pre-school and they make then lay down everyday so now she takes an hour nap even on weekends.

  • We have quiet time after lunch. Once in a while he will fall asleep, but usually he does not. He still slept most days when he was 3 but it is less and less now.

  • depends on the day. normally he falls asleep at preschool, but at home i don't make him. i have him have quiet time in his room, sometimes he falls asleep, sometimes he doesn't. when he does he sleeps for about 3-4hrs.

with nap, he gets about 15hrs of sleep. without a nap, he gets roughly 12, since he goes to bed at 730 and wakes up around 7ish.

  • Ha! My 4 year old quit laying down and taking full on naps when she was almost 3. Now, occasionally she'll fall asleep in the car on the way home from work/school. But the commute is only half an hour, so she's not sleeping for very long.

  • My five year old doesn't nap.... but we do "quiet time". I think quiet time started around 4 ish..... they make them nap at school, but he just lays there. My almost 4 y/o naps if you force him. He won't usually fall asleep until around 3 ish tho... and then he'll have to be woken up around 5. When they DO sleep, they sleep for a long time and they end up staying up late. I'd rather keep them awake and put them to bed around 8!!!
