YES! I have had both an OB and a midwife. I will never go back to another OB for childbirth. I had all three babies in the hospital.

  • I had a midwife and gave birth at the hospital. I just wish they would have induced me instead of letting me go 2 weeks over.

  • absolutely. I had a midwife and nurse practitioner throughout my whole pregnancy and wouldnt have wanted it any other way. I had a midwife and OB present at delivery. My midwife was extremely caring and upfront. She supported my birth plan and helped me to feel as comfortable as possible about trying to stay home as long as possible during labor

  • Absolutely!!!!

The majority of CNMs deliver in hospitals. You are LESS likely to end up with medical interventions that come with risks, a csection, and MORE likely to have a better outcome for both you and baby!

  • I had a midwife for all 5 of my hospital births - no docs for me other than baby's checkups afterwards.

  • I had a midwife, but couldn't deliver at her center due to pre-eclampsia. Had to have a C-section with an OB instead.

For future pregnancies I'll go back to the same midwife, knowing the OB is there if another "worst case scenario" occurs again.
