What foods can I start my baby on for solids?

My son is 6 1/2 months old and he is breastfed. I have already had him eating the baby oatmeal, and some veggies and fruits. My others didnt breastfeed as long as he has so I don't know if I should be doing the same thing. I wasn't sure if he should be having the meats and other things as well.

  • I would go by your doctor's suggestions on this one. It sounds like you're off to a good start.

  • Under 1yr is not advised to eat meat. When he gets at least 1yrs old he prob can start...But not if hes under 1yr old

  • Our pediatrician said we could add one meat per day when DS turned six months old. He does still get a large amount of his protein needs from breast milk.
