Adding life to flat hair?

what can be done to add some life (without using a curling iron or curlers) to hair that is flat and straight? thanks

  • Use a root lifter and dry your hair upside down, if it's short hair on top blow in the opposite direction than you want it to lay

  • You could blow dry it upside down for a bit of volume but really it's all about product. There is this stuff - I can't remember what it's called but it's a powder you put on your head and it makes it stay up for a bump.

  • i use hair spray as I brush my hair, it's damp.. and it stays fluffy.
    Other then that try mouse on damp hair and brush it out before you leave.

  • I got highlights (the foil kind) and now my hair is always poufy - I love it! I go a long time between bouts of 'coloring' and every time I do it it gets amazing volume.
