Peeling toes in 9 month old

His toes are peeling especially between them. He doesn't seem to be chewing his feet that often.
So what causes peeling feet in infants?

  • Everyone sheds their skin. It just happens. We, as adults, wear socks and shoes and walk on our feet which helps the process along. We usually don't even see the skin come off, but all the surface cell on our body come off every 2-3 days. Baby doesn't have anything encouraging the process on his feet. It's normal and not something to worry about unless his feet crack or bleed along with the peeling. Don't help peel the skin off (I love doing this and have to restrain myself when DD feet peel). Keep putting lotion on after bath time to keep everything hydrated.
