What size bike is your 7 year old riding?

DS needs a new bicycle and I'm not sure what size to get him, I know I should take him and let him try them out but I really want to surprise him with a new one! So just so I can get an idea what size do you think a child that age would ride.

  • My kids are as tall as seven yr old and they are currently riding 16" bikes but the seats and handle bars are at the max. Next year they will for sure be getting atleast 18" wheels but depemding on the frame could ride a 20".
Whereever you buy it from ask if it is possible to exchange it for a larger bike if you buy one too small. They would likely go for that as the bigger bikes are more money.

  • Is your ds on the big side? Then go for a 20" If he is small, maybe an 18, but most likly a 20 inch, especially if he is good on a bike, he could handle a bike a bigger size.
