If anyone has ever made pumpkin bars with the cream icing on top...

How do you make the cream icing? I have a recipe for the bars but not for the icing. Thanks!

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, room temp
4 ounces (1/2 stick) butter, room temp
    4 cups powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    1-2 tbsp milk

Beat the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, and 1 tbsp of milk. Turn the mixer on the lowest setting until you incorporate all of the powdered sugar. You can add the other tbsp of milk if it is still too thick. Beat for 2 minutes on med-high with a paddle attachment, medium with a whisk or regular beater attachment (hand mixer style).
