  • We don't do any therapies.

  • I don't have a child with Autism, but have worked with many. I know of 2 families that used Chelation therapy for their child. They both felt like it helped improve some symptoms. For the PP, any child with Autism should be given some type of therapy in order to develop to their fullest potential (even if it is provided at home by the parent). Good luck.

  • Kimebs - Well my son does get I guess 'therapy' from me then. I teach him how to cope with his hardships because I have been through it. But I do not believe in putting him in therapies with professionals. I believe I can help him more than anyone else. I just never have called what I do with him therapy.

  • purpleducky - I don't understand why you wouldn't work with professionals. That's what they are trained to do. Why would you think you know more? I would give my child every chance they could possibly have.

  • My nephew's mom insist that she has heard bad things about chelation therapy. That often times the child will lapse back into their autistic world after months of being"normal" what ever that is.

I am trying to convince her to try chelation therapy has anyone heard of autistic children recovering and them lapsing back after chelation therapy?
